From: Ryan Migita Ryan on 7 Dec 2009 14:22 I've been trying to use the SBS 2008 Console to move the SharePoint databases using the wizard and as soon I finish the wizard instructing where to move the data, the wizard crashes. From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 9 Dec 2009 05:47 Hello Ryan, Thanks for your post. Have you applied the latest SharePoint Services Pack 3.0 SP2? If the issue persist after you installed WSS 3.0 SP2, please try to follow below steps to delete the "Microsoft.SharePoint.Search.Administration.SPSearchService" entry in the registry to troubleshoot this issue: 1. On the Start menu, click Run. In the Open box, type regedit and then click OK. 2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following subkey, and then delete it: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions\12.0\WSS\Services\ "Microsoft.SharePoint.Search.Administration.SPSearchService" Note, please backup/export the registry key/subkey before you perform ANY deletion in this step. 3. Run the Wizard again and see if it changes. Moreover, I would like you have a look at the below article about how to move SharePoint database in SBS 2003: Moving Data Folders for Windows Small Business Server 2003(Step 4: Move the Windows SharePoint Services Databases) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708031(WS.10).aspx Hope this helps.
