From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 8 Dec 2009 03:34 Hello Bj, Thanks for your post. It is related to the Group Policy. The Vista Client Group Policy may not be there properly or it is modified incorrectly. If so, you may try to could create a exact same Group Policy by copying it from known working SBS 2008 server if any. This issue may also occur if there is any 3rd party software installed, e.g. Anti-virus or anti-spyware etc. that caused conflict when SBS console is performing WMI collections and queries. So please temporarily disable all of them for test purpose and see if it changes. Meanwhile, please check Power Management Settings is enabled or not: To enable or disable power management settings in Windows Vista 1. Open the Windows SBS Console. 2. On the navigation bar, click Network, and then click the Computers tab. 3. In Computer Tasks, do one of the following: " To enable power management settings for client computers that are running Windows Vista, click Enable Power Management in Windows Vista. Note, If you enable power management settings in Windows Vista, network users cannot access a computer running Windows Vista when it is in Sleep or Hibernate mod. " To disable power management settings for client computers that are running Windows Vista, click Disable Power Management in Windows Vista. Enable or disable power management settings in Windows Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc527619(WS.10).aspx Hope this helps.
