However, one thing you want to do prior to opening any of the files (especially the Master) is to temporarily rename the original directory. The copied master schedule will attempt to open the original sub-projects using the link information. By renaming the directory first Project will attempt finding the original files then not finding them ask you where to find the sub-projects. At that point you direct it to the 1st sub-project location; Project will then open all files from the new directory. After you save the Master go back and rename the original directory to it's original name.
