Something an "over the shoulder" spare possibly won't have when the occasion next arises. Power supplies are like a flat tire or dead battery to an otherwise mechanically sound car. Something that's going to happen, regardless a good value for a respected brand. Yellow sounds much better than one I had "leaking" radiation (adversely affecting a tape drive).
