From: Jeremy Porteous on 19 Jan 2010 18:26 Following the advice of many on this newsgroup, I decide to order a NEW Skypephone S2 direct from three.co.uk just after Xmas. I had the choice of going for a refurbished S2 but decided to go for the new phone in the end. I was also offered a free 10 accessories voucher by the online sales person and this appears on my order confirmation. I arranged delivery for 8 Jan as the earliest they would deliver and was told it would come by Royal Mail Special Delivery. In the event, it turned up a week late (presumably due to the weather) but arrived via the Home Delivery Network in a DHL bag. Furthermore, the phone had been sent by Phones4u and the return address was the same as the address on www.phones4u.co.uk, and did not appear to have anything to do with three. Worse was to come, as the box had clearly been opened. They was not just one security seal which clearly had been cut in half, but a second security seal has been stuck over the top and this and was also broken with VOID written on the box. The box itself was torn (arguably this could be the delivery company), and the phone inside was scratched. All-in-all, this was clearly a customer return not a new S2 as offered. To add insult to injury, the 10 accessories voucher had been omitted. I phoned three.co.uk on their rip-off 0844 number and was given the usual "We opened the box for you to check the phone was OK" spiel before they agreed to replace the phone with a truly new phone and sent the missing 10 accessories voucher. Is this common experience at all, or am I very unlucky? JP
