It's a bit kludgey and doesn't work on all types of window but I still
like it and have set it to launch at bootup. There's probably some
slicker freeware which does the same sort of resizing.

I gave it a try, but on my system with my graphics card, although it
expanded the window and I was able to see the info in the columns more
easily, some of the buttons at the bottom of the program window were
outside the window border and couldn't be accessed (as, I notice, are
the buttons in your image.)

I also tried Autosizer:

but it didn't do anything to the window.

As for finding such a program at a freeware site, you have to wade
through hits for image and web page resizers.
