I don't use it really often, but the times I've used it I haven't had any problems. I upgraded from 6 to 9 mainly for the video editor improvements. I wasn't disappointed.

The periodic updates Nero does usually include newer drive info.

That's why I do most of my optical file work with freeby proggies that do the task at hand very well. I don't see the point in loading up a sledge hammer suite to drive a tack. The only program I paid for is VideoReDo which extracts and edits vob files down to one frame level and then converts them to mpg files for re-assembly to DVD in another program. I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 suite but seldom use it. I have used it to create a leachable DVD of mp3 music files that can be played on a regular DVD player through my TV. I have over 500 mp3 files on it that can be beached by several categories with my TV remote control. I have created a 2 DVD set of my whole 40 CD collection of "Your Hit Parade" with 960 songs that go from the 1940s through the 1960s.
