i am not supposed to be on network so why is my PC saying I am? In networking services, UPnP User Interface is checked, which leads to two ports checked. Also, UPnP is checked in firewall exceptions. Severe "can ping, can't browse" internet problem I have a severe problem where I can ping websites by name, eg "ping www.microsoft.com" but cannot browse the same sites in IE8, Firefox, or Safari. having home network issues. can't access shared CD/DVD in Peer to Peer Running XP-Pro SP3 - had to rebuild IRPStackSize = 18 (a user invited a virus and had to do a hard cleanup) and can access C:\ drives but can't access CD\DVD hardware in Peer to Peer environment.
