From: Laura K Laura on 15 Jun 2010 06:10 Every time the Windows / Microsoft Update does some updates - completes them succesfully - the network connection speed resets to 10 Mb and the network does not work, until repaired from network connections. The updates are done automatically, and this failure repeats every time after any update is done (and computer restarted). I am using Windows XP SP3.

Change your Automatic Update setting to the Notify Only option then never approve any driver updates.
