Okay, you're another who thinks he can make demands and predictions
about what the word 'revolutionary' has to mean -- so you don't get it
at all. Go look up the word, and go back to criticizing a specific
feature based on what the product actually is.

Firewire is for connecting high-speed storage and video devices. Don't
know which of those you think is necessary for iPad, which doesn't have
anything to do with video editing and which syncs data to a computer
(where the computer, clearly, can have such ports).

USB is for connecting peripherals and input devices.
Since this is a very portable device, connecting various mice is
unecessary, and a keyboard is already offered; in fact, it may have
some accessories like that, but they'll connect via a different port.
USB can also be a storage port (remember, this device needs to be
synched to a computer) and a printer port (remember, that computer
probably has a printer) and many of devices.

It should not be considered a computer replacement, so criticizing that
it isn't a computer replacement is simply correct.
That doesn't mean it isn't a great product, well-made, fascinating,
game-changing, and worth purchasing for many.
