From: Tommy Turbide on 25 May 2010 09:22 Hi all, I've been using SBS 2003 for remote access (VPN) connexion since a while. Working fine until I've done some windows update (on the end of april 2010). Since then, I can't connect to this server. I've resetted the services, disabled/enabled it via server managment, via the Routing and Remote Access manager and still nothing. Only time I got it working is when I've removed the updates. It worked after the first reboot so I've reinstalled the update to double check and it made it stoped. Now I've removed them again but it's still not working. Updates installed where thoses: KB978338 KB979683 KB979309 KB980182 KB976323 KB978601 KB980232 KB977816 KB981332 I can't telnet on port 1723 on this server at all and other opened port are working fine. -- Groupe Isolofoam www.isolofoam.com
From: Andy Desborough on 25 May 2010 15:11 I've had the same problem happen in the last 2 days, VPN has stopped working, I can't access the server via RDP nor Logmein either. I can access workstations ok, so the path in is working ok. The server also runs very very slow when trying to reboot. Visiting site tomorrow to check the logs but no idea why it just started happening? "Tommy Turbide" wrote: > Hi all, > > I've been using SBS 2003 for remote access (VPN) connexion since a > while. From: Andy Desborough on 25 May 2010 15:58 Thanks for the reply (and sorry to hijack your thread Tommy) I get an error 800 from my connection, I'm unsure what the users get. I'm unable to do anything with the server from here until I can get down there tomorrow unfortunately. It's odd circumstances as everything's been fine for a long time until yesterday which makes me wonder about windowsupdate. Users in the office seem unaffected, file shares/print is working, Exchange send/receive is working and I can access mailboxes via OWA although RWW no longer works either. From: Russ SBITS.Biz [SBS-MVP] on 25 May 2010 16:20 Ok you really need 1 issue at a time. Can you VPN from inside the LAN (I know that sounds odd but if you can VPN inside the LAN) Then Port 1723 and or GRE is blocked. On the RWW What is the issue/error Russ -- Russell Grover - SBITS.Biz [SBS-MVP] MCP, MCPS, MCNPS, SBSC Small Business Server/Computer Support - www.SBITS.Biz BPOS - Microsoft Online Services - www.Microsoft-Online-Services.com "Andy Desborough" <AndyDesborough(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:38C9459B-CC72-4F89-BFA0-86EF71837C19(a)microsoft.com... > Thanks for the reply (and sorry to hijack your thread Tommy) > > I get an error 800 from my connection, I'm unsure what the users get.
