I have windows 7 and a matlab 7.1.0.246 R14 service pack 3

I had no problems installing it but when I open it gives me Error starting desktop.
I read many posts and tried serveral solutions including changing my desktop to Windows classic and following the instructions:
Go to <Matlab-installation-dir>\sys\java\jre\win32 you will find a folder named jre1.5.0_07 (or a similar version). Rename it to Original_<whatever was originally there>
Go to C:\Program Files\Java you will find file named jre6. Copy it to <Matlab-installation-dir>\sys\java\jre\win32 and rename it to <original jre directory name>

It still doesn't work. Always appears the error.
Does anyone have an answer for me please?
