Actually. thank you. Never would have thought about it without your
recommendation.

Yrrah,

I tried to get onto their development page and just wasn't able
to get logged on (repeatedly). Don't know what the problem is. I
wanted to put in a plug for good print capability. Can you do
this for me (or can anyone?).

TIA!

There are many "text editing" programs out there. All of them
that I've tried have bells and whistles, some superb, but
developed for programming (they really should be called
"programmers' editors," not "text editors").

WordTabs is the only one that I've found, so far, that's totally
geared for text work. It contains my four "must have" standard
keystrokes that have been part of virtually all word programs
ever since WordStar!

My only complaints about WT are its klutzy print control:
header/footer entries are unreasonably limited; pages can't be
expanded by switching them off, and format resets won't be
retained. Word wrapping is solid in both screen and printouts.
But printing is quite usable!

WT is a serious writing tool with thoughtful capabilities, superb
handling, and printing: exactly what a writer needs.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but MemoMaster, free edition,
has some good features that may be of interest to some. It's available
from www.JBSoftware.org.

The folks there don't seem to speak English very well; tech support is
friendly but of limited use.

There are little corners to this program that have kept me busy for a
while <grin>.
