From: Michael Santovec on 21 Jan 2010 15:13 The issue is that you need an OPEN action in the File Association for the files to open from within OE. Acrobat generally installs an action like "Open with Adobe Read x.0". That won't cut it for OE. You need to add and action that just says OPEN. See the Identifying Attachment File Types and Setting File Associations section of Decoding Internet Attachments - A Tutorial http://TechHelp.Santovec.us/decode.htm#identify -- Mike - http://TechHelp.Santovec.us "JVRudnick" <JVRudnick(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A104CA8C-7A4F-40B3-9232-BE16F0DCCA3A(a)microsoft.com... > thanks for the response, Bruce...but did that weeks ago. this does not > work > on my workstation...no matter how often I try that, it DOES ensure of > course > that all .pdf icons on the desktop DO open when dbl/clked... > > but it does NOT get those same .pdfs to open via OE6... > > is there any other answer, as that wont work in this case? > > Jim > > "Bruce Hagen" wrote: > >> Save the attachment to your HDD.
