After 120 days (on 121st day) you can install on two other machines because by that time Microsoft would have zapped its records created in the last 120 days. You have to understand that keeping track of millions of records is time consuming and expensive and so Microsoft has decided to trust its customers. In Windows 7 and Office 2010 the activation program version 2 works quite differently and so crackers are having a tough time dealing with it.
