From: "Steve House" sjhouse at hotmail dot on 2 Apr 2010 11:17 Are you sure a single task HAS a year's duration. There's a rule of thumb called the 8/80 Rule that says that tasks should generally have between 8 and 80 hours of effort in them. Many tasks under 8 and you're micromanageing, unnecessarily annoying your resources. Many tasks over 80 hours and you're not breaking the work down into enough detail to effectively manage it. While there certainly are many exceptions to the rule, you might want to examine that 1-year task and see if it should'nt really be broken down into more manageable work packages. -- Steve House MS Project Trainer & Consultant "Edward(a)BR" <EdwardBR(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:577E64DB-4E8C-4FF6-8B84-599530D917CA(a)microsoft.com... > Hi, all > > How can I insert an one year task duration in Project (time unit 1y don't > work)? > > Thanks > ---------------- > Edward
