Whoops!

No. I went there yesterday, and only found 3.1.6.

I installed it and had to update existing Additions in my XP install.

I think that's one of the things that's been fixed in 3.2.0.

Hmm, a couple of graphical glitches, but nowt to be concerned about.

Hmm, might just be me then as I still can't make it work? I can now
see a couple of devices in the Settings > USB (a Card reader and the
built in Webcam) and even if I add them I still can't see them in the
guest?

I have worked out how to use shared folders though (I save a 5G
partition that is a sort of dumping ground for all 4 OS's).

It has gone a bit wobbly when rebooting the guest after an update but
seems to have recovered ok.

Oh well, it is a Beta of VB and pretty early days for Ubuntu 10.04.

I haven't tried it myself yet, I'd only read it. However, that was never
somethign that bothered me anyway, I only use it to access weird
documents I get sent at times.

That's been working for a long time, I just use a folder on my Desktop
that is also a dumping ground for my VM stuff. You need to make sure
Additions is installed and up to date.

I just got a couple of ghost blocks left after closing dialogues.

Indeed.

I'm just amazed that XP runs pretty well on here, much better than my
dedicated PC with 2.6GHz P4, and a reasonable configuration.

If you mean existing VirtualBox VMs, then I'm not sure what you mean.
You can easily create a new VM, and attach an existing virtual drive to
it, and not have to make a fresh install of the guest OS.

If you mean a VM from another application, then I don't think it does
that yet. Even ones that do, I've tried Parallels and VMWare, may not
work 100% anyway - they certainly didn't for me.

Here is the command

mac-mini:~ jon$ VBoxManage registervm
Sun VirtualBox Command Line Management Interface Version 3.1.6
(C) 2005-2010 Sun Microsystems, Inc.
All rights reserved.

Usage:

VBoxManage registervm <filename>

I put the existing .xml file in ~/Library/VirtualBox/Machines and the
..vdi files in the corresponding VDI folder but it never works!
