In Outlook version before 2007, free/busy settings did not control the color, either. The label you assigned contorlled the color. In Outlook 2007, color is controlled by category. If you want color then you'll need to categorize your events. If you carried the data over from a previous version of Outlook, right-click the root of your folder tree and select Upgrade to Color Categories to get your current categories added to the master category list. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
