Several years ago I bought my wife a Z-22, that came with Palm Desktop
4.2. To do a IR sync through the HotSync manager I had to download a
slightly diferent version of the desktop.

Does anyone remember which verson of the Palm Desktop/Hotsync Manager
allowed the IR Modem sync. It was 4.??

After computers lots thier serial port, I synced my Palm IIIse for years
using the IR Hotsync. Last week the McAfee update virus trashed both of
my computers and now I am trying to restore all of my programs. I would
sure hate to throw out my old Palm IIIse because of the failure.

Resolved the problem. The Ir modem showed up when the IR port was
installed
