I didn't say anything because I was hoping for your sake that Parallels
was different, but that was my experience with VMware Fusion 2, too. Did
you try less memory allocated to the Windows VM?

Windoze no matter which iteration takes tediously long to start up no
matter what.

So, mine, which you have no experience of, would be *tediously*
long to start up? Define your terms and maybe let's have a bet.

I think the real problem is I use it rarely and every time I boot Win it
seems there are updates to be installed.
