From: Terri on 4 Nov 2009 14:17 I was using MSP 2003 and when creating a pdf file, the file was about 2mg. After upgrading to MSP 2007 using the same schedule file saved as a 2007 mpp, the pdf is now 17mg. No new activities or resources were added, only applied weekly progress. No other schedule changes. Does anyone know why the pdf size is so much larger in 2007?
From: Andrew Lavinsky on 4 Nov 2009 14:30 Can't imagine why - file size is usually a function of the resolution used when generating the PDF. There was a known issue with the 3D bars in 2007 interfering with rendering in Adobe, but I don't think that caused bloated file sizes. Try turning off the 3D bars in Tools Options > View and see if that does anything. - Andrew Lavinsky Blog: http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/epm > I was using MSP 2003 and when creating a pdf file, the file was about > 2mg. From: Terri on 4 Nov 2009 15:32 I did go in and turn off the 3d Bar Styles but pdf file is still over 10mg when it was only 3mg. From: Rob Schneider on 5 Nov 2009 01:50 You don't say how you are creating the PDF. If you are using Adobe Acrobat, check out the settings used to make the PDF. There are a lot of settings which can have an impact on size. Acrobat also has a facility to reduce the size of PDF (under the Document menu as I recall). --rms www.rmschneider.com Terri wrote: > I did go in and turn off the 3d Bar Styles but pdf file is still over 10mg > when it was only 3mg. > > > > "Terri" wrote: > >> I was using MSP 2003 and when creating a pdf file, the file was about 2mg. >> After upgrading to MSP 2007 using the same schedule file saved as a 2007 mpp, >> the pdf is now 17mg.
