Fatso is DSP hungry as you probably know. Just a few more questions. Which UAD card(s) are you using and how many? Can you give me some real world performance numbers on how much DSP you might be lacking or have extra for your mixes. Say I want to run around two reverbs, four delays, 8 compressors and 16 EQ's with this card if you get my drift. Native plugs could come into play if I needed more oomph. I am on the fence with the UAD-2 Duo and the UAD-2 Quad. I am thinking the quad might be overkill for my simple mixes. What do you think? UAD-2 Duo 5x the processing power of the original UAD and the UAD-2 Quad is 10x the processing power. Do you ever use these cards while tracking live?

As for your specs on what you would like to run: you can run many LA2A's without issue but the same amount of another comp would bring you to your knees (Neve 33609) - if you really can't see yourself using more then you listed - a duo might work.
