looking for simple 3d plotting program
Robert Huff writes: I have a project for which I need to produce a {gif, jpg, png} of a 3d space, with labled axes, and plot a small number (<25 ??) of points within it, either with labels or as icons. looking for simple 3d plotting program
I have a project for which I need to produce a {gif, jpg, png} of a 3d space, with labled axes, and plot a small number (<25 ??) of points within it, either with labels or as icons. Two constraints: Current code is written in C. I know there are programs in C++ and Python ... and I'm sure they will make some... 8 Apr 2010 11:01

Unable to install: py-bittorrent-core
I am not sure if this has been reported before or not. On my FreeBSD-7.3 machine, I am unable to install the /usr/ports/net-p2p/py-bittorrent-core port. The build log follows: /usr/ports/net-p2p/py-bittorrent-core # make config ===> No options to configure /usr/ports/net-p2p/py-bittorrent-core # make ===> Defin... 7 Apr 2010 10:05
[RFT] please test databases/db50
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Greetings, I have made a databases/db50 port, of Oracle Berkeley DB 5.0. The port features SQL and JAVA options (default off) and is in dire need of testers, particularly of the JAVA and SQL features. I have never done a JAVA-related port on FreeBSD - so I'd li... 6 Apr 2010 19:51
qt4-gui and gif
Howdy, I maintain net-p2p/qbittorrent-22 which uses qt4, and has recently (version 2.2.4) started using a gif file as part of the interface. When I compile and install the new version the gif file does not appear. As far as I can tell this is related to the fact that qt4-gui does not include support for gif file... 6 Apr 2010 19:51
FreeBSD Port: proftpd-1.3.3
MM- Suggestions on the proftpd port: 1) You might remove mod_digest. It doesn't seem to work anymore with proftpd 1.3.3, at least on FBSD 6.4 32bit. You get segfault from the daemon when you try to call any mod_digest commands: Apr 04 17:34:09 [21674] <command:7>: dispatching CMD command 'XMD5 dordal.ics' to mod... 6 Apr 2010 18:43
sysutils/puppet: disabling freebsd ports package provider
Is there any objection to the ports provider being disabled on FreeBSD systems since it mostly just causes puppet to hang anyway? I've had no luck in fixing it. The problem is that portupgrade and script don't interact well when running non-interactively. I've been running it this way in a local port, and I'm th... 6 Apr 2010 18:43
