preferred place for system-wide config files
a little confusion arised from ports/146627. The Porter's Handbook defines PREFIX as the place where port should install its files including config files. However, it doesn't say where the port should try to read its config files that may not exist: LOCALBASE/etc or PREFIX/etc? Until recently I assumed such files... 19 May 2010 14:54

x11/libX11 and libSM stop my upgrading both xorg and kde on 7.3Stable.
When I try to build libX11 or libSM I find similar error messages about an older version of automake 1.10 that they both require and I haven't been able to make either use a newer one.
