From: D.M. The on-screen display will show where it thinks your fingers are. I'm not sure about that last bit, though. Maybe it wouldn't really work. Daniele

I think you're right about it becoming an iOS device, but I think the control method will remain as the standalone white remote. However, I find it interesting that Apple have not yet (so far as I know) updated their Remote app to make it iPad ready. I suspect we'll see a new app fairly soon. I think it could well be both. Buy an Apple TV and you can use it standalone with a white (actually, silver and black now) remote. Got an iOS device? Pair it and you see the Apple TV interface on the touchscreen (and on the TV) and can navigate via touch. I don't think the interface will *look* any different in each "mode". It's simple enough that you could have the two ways of interacting without changing the way it looks. > However, I find > it interesting that Apple have not yet (so far as I know) updated > their > Remote app to make it iPad ready. I suspect we'll see a new app fairly soon. I feel the same - it's the only reason I think that we might see something fancier that controls Apple TV. -z- -- email: nettid1 at fastmail dot fm
