Cocoa MySQL sort of died, but it got reborn as Sequel Pro. Still free,

Sequel Pro is great, by the way. The only thing being better in the old
incarnation is the icon but this is easily fixed. Great app.

The next time anyone has to install MySQL I would recommend MAMP. It
comes with MySQL, Apache and phpMyAdmin wrapped in a simple app you drop
somewhere and has a nice Dashboard widget to control it. (Not so good
for a server, but on a local test/development machine it's very
streamlined and nice).

Yes, great app. It is being updated *all* the time too.

Ooh, that *is* nice. Thanks.

I get the feeling it won't be free once it hits 1.0, though...

"Sequel Pro is an active open source project that runs from the volunteer
work of talented developers from all around the world."

I think that would make it tricky at least to charge for.

Or I could be very naive...
