As you could just download the source code and build it yourself, I
don't think they would get too far, and I don't think they would try.
They seem pretty commited to the product.

If they had wanted (or been able to) charge they would have done so long
ago. It may be below 1.0 but it is quite a long way past a 1.0 of some
peoples software, as was cocoaMySql

If this would be an .org domain and if they had an amateurish website
nobody would ask this and it still wouldn't make any difference. I mean,
you *can* sell open source software but it will still stay open source.

I guess that's where I got impression from. It does look very slick and
the software itself, on first impressions, looks very complete.

That's right. Although, in practical terms you're unlikely to make much
money as the vast majority will just download the source.
