Everything else seems to be updating fine, but not my Franklin
Templeton funds. It used to work, and stopped some months ago.

I reported it to Franklin Templeton and they called me back a few days
later and said everything is working fine from their end. They even
tested update with their own accounts, without problems.

Any suggestions regarding what might be wrong, and/or what I can try
to get things working again?

Not much in the way of details here.

How have to tried to download?

Exactly what happens when you try to download?

I have the same problem and it seems now that
the one-set update from F/T only updates my accounts at
the end of a quarter.

Viewing the accounts on the F/T website everyday works, all is updated
and accurate, but certainly an inconvenience to have to do that.

At the end of the last quarter, on-step from F/T brought everything
up to date. One step update appears to function without error, only
F/T does not bump it's total till the end of the quarter.

Sorry, John.

I use One Step Update.

It appears to complete, but the transactions are not there (on the
lower half of the transactions view in Quicken).

I have also tried clicking on the "Update Transactions" box in the
transactions view on the Franklin Templeton account. Again it appears
to do its job, but the transactions are not there.

By the way, don't be tempted to think they are not there because they
don't exist. New transactions do exist on the Franklin Templeton web
site in the My Account section.

I have an IRA and a non-IRA with Franklin Templeton; basically my Direct
downloads are working.

Last night I did notice that Franklin Templeton had an error the last time
I had done a One Step Update, an error which I overlooked, probably
because I wasn't expecting any transactions from them anyway.

I don't recall exactly what I did to get Franklin Templeton downloading
last night, but it was something like trying to Update Transactions just
for Franklin Templeton. At one point, I think the download process ran
too long, so I stopped it, exited Quicken, restarted Quicken and did
another download ... and that succeeded. There was only one transaction
available and it was downloaded.

I downloaded with both Q2008 Premier R9 and Q2009 RPM R6. Q2009 was the
one that got hung up, Q2008 worked without my having to retry the
download. But my Q2009 data is test data, and as such, it tends to have
junk in the file along with the legitimate data ... which can cause all
kinds of problems.

Bottom line: at one point, Franklin Templeton may have been having a
problem, as indicated by the error my previous download attempts had
gotten (I think it was an OL-301). But as of last night, it seems,
downloads from FT are working.

When you said "everything else is working fine", I'm assuming you have
Quicken accounts with other financial institutions that are downloading
via One Step Update without problems.

In your case, the first thing I'd do is look on the Transactions tab in
the Online Center for Franklin Templeton, and see if any transactions are
there. If so I'd try a "Compare to List" to see if that made the
transactions appear in the "Downloaded Transactions" tab of the account.

If that failed, I would probably try making a Quicken Copy of my data,
Validating that Copy, and trying again to download. If that succeeds, I'd
make the Validated Copy my regular file. If it fails, I'd try
deactivating Franklin Templeton for downloading, then Validating, then
reactivating and trying another download (in the Validated Copy). If that
fails, I'd deactivate all accounts for downloading (again in the Copy),
Validate again, then re-activate the accounts for downloading and try
another OSU.

If none of that works, or if you have other problems with the results, you
can always revert to the original file you made a Copy of. For double
protection, you can make a backup before you start.
