From: Vishal Garg on 11 Mar 2010 01:56 Scenario Project s scheduled from the start date Project Start date is 1/19/10 Status date is set as 12/20/09 Now if we change the Status date to "NA" the tasks duration as well as the start and finish date changes. I want to change the Status date to "NA" without affecting duration or sart/finish dates of the tasks
From: Andrew Lavinsky on 11 Mar 2010 21:21 The only fields impacted by the Status Date change should be timephased reporting fields like Earned Value or custom calculated fields. A couple of questions to help troubleshoot: 1) Are you sure the default Duration field is changing, or is it a custom field? 2) How do you change the Status Date? 3) What is the nature of the change? Is it going up, going down? Does the change differ based on how you change the Status Date? 4) Why is the Status Date set before the project actually begins? - Andrew Lavinsky Blog: http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/epm > Scenario > > Project s scheduled from the start date > Project Start date is 1/19/10 > Status date is set as 12/20/09 > Now if we change the Status date to "NA" the tasks duration as well as > the start and finish date changes. > > I want to change the Status date to "NA" without affecting duration or > sart/finish dates of the tasks >
