From: MIRA on 21 May 2010 06:31 Recently installed Project 2010. When I open gantts that were originally created in Project 2000 (just to view them - no changes), if I use the save as option and select the Project 2000-2003 format, if you try and open the gantt with Project 2000 either the tasks are removed or the gantt does not load at all. Just get a Project has encountered a problem and will close message. Says on the tin that should be backward compatible - but is it?
From: Rod Gill on 21 May 2010 20:51 I can't remember what the highest Service Pack was for Project 2000. Was it Sp2 or SP3? In any event, make sure you have the latest SP for Project 2000 installed. Then try again. Can Project 2003 open the file saved from Project 2000? -- Rod Gill Microsoft MVP for Project - http://www.project-systems.co.nz Author of the only book on Project VBA, see: http://www.projectvbabook.com "MIRA" <MIRA(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:200303BA-E117-48D2-8DF6-58FC9FFC435C(a)microsoft.com... > Recently installed Project 2010.
