That's an old argument holed below the waterline a long time ago.
I suggest you do what I did: catch-up on the debates that took place
about that and other related issues.

FYI:
The Pricelessware List is produced by, and for, the privately owned
Pricelessware website. ACF involuntarily provided the floor space to
discuss the PL because the website owners are too mean (or whatever)
to setup a forum attached to their own website, which is what they
should do. A FREE alternative is to use the newsgroup
<alt.comp.pricelessware> which was setup for PWH use.

NB: If every FREEWARE website owner used ACF to debate its website
design, 'all time favs' lists and all the other matters that arise,
ACF would be drowned out and genuine posters would quickly go away.
PWH people would be among the first to complain about such abuse.
There are at least 100 freeware websites, so think about that. :-)
