A few years ago when I was running winxp I remember having a program
that would close the un-nessesarely open ports for added security. I
can't remember the name of it.
Anyone know of simular program for xp?
I was wanting to recommend it to a friend.

One small app is wwdc.exe available here:

IIRC, it doesn't have the capability of closing all open ports on a
fresh install of Win XP. But it conveniently closes a few if you want
them closed.
