The very fact that there isn't a program called Quicken 2010 for Macintosh should have stopped you in the first place. It's called Quicken Essentials for Mac, and simply reading Intuit's description would have saved you the time and effort. They're quite clear on which features are lacking but present in Quicken 2007 for Macintosh, which they're still selling. The fact that they're still selling that one is another clue. -- My latest dance performance <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_9pudbFisE> Mac and geek T-shirts & gifts <http://designsbymike.net/shop/mac.cgi> Prius shirts/bumper stickers <http://designsbymike.net/shop/prius.cgi>

Intuit has dropped the ball. I'm trying to switch to another product. Since my old Quicken file went bad late last year and I need to re-enter things anyway, this is as good a time to do it as any. The problem is that I want the new program to do my checking/savings/credit-card, as well as loans, investments, and auto-updating of balances. I'm not sure which product to use. -- May all your good dreams and fine wishes come true! May joy be yours all the days of your life!

For me it's considerably less than 2-3 minutes but probably longer than 15 seconds. However, my banks and credit cards all have switched to using only web connect anyway, going directly from Quicken is no longer an option and hasn't been for several years for all but one, and that one's been at least one year. They claim it's somehow for security reasons. The point is that web connect seems to be the favored method anyway and will possibly become the only one before long. Quicken 2006-2007 should not stop working. -- My latest dance performance <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_9pudbFisE> Mac and geek T-shirts & gifts <http://designsbymike.net/shop/mac.cgi> Prius shirts/bumper stickers <http://designsbymike.net/shop/prius.cgi> |
