Ah. Yes, if you had opened an actual movie file, you would have seen a
window. But since there was no data to show, there was no need to
display a window. This is common with lots of Mac applications. You'll
get used to it.

TIP: You mean "menu bar" above. "Tool bar" has a different meaning for
Mac users.
