From: abi on 7 Jul 2006 12:37 Hi Robert, I found a solution. It seems that the ris bootdisk has a problem with DHCP options 66 and 67 (sounds like http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=259670). This options are needed when ris is not running on the same server where dhcp is running. When both services are running on the same server and options 66, 67 are not used its possible to install windows xp sp1 and sp2 in my virtual pc. So it is not a problem of virtual pc. It is a problem caused by the ris bootdisk. Thanks for your help ABI "Robert Comer" wrote: > >Have you ever seen a virutal pc installing windows xp sp2 by > > ris? > > Not with SP2, but pre-SP2, yes. > > >Perhaps it is a bug in windows xp sp2. > > It's possible.
