From: Bill on 13 Apr 2010 10:33 Hello, I was wondering if anyone had experience using RSAT on Windows 7 when using a client computer that is not part of the domain. The problem is that my company has their own 2003 domain, and when I want to connect to a client's domain on site with my domain computer, I can't with RSAT. I try the "run as different user command" to open tools such as Group Policy Management, and AD Users and Computers, and usually get the error : "The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship." Any help is appreciated. Bill
From: Meinolf Weber [MVP-DS] on 13 Apr 2010 17:16 Hello Bill, If you like to open AD UC of another domain you can do it with the following commands: runas /netonly /user:domain\userid "mmc dsa.msc /server=dc.in.other.domain" runas /netonly /user:domain\userid "mmc dsa.msc /server=ipaddress" Of course a user account with the correct permission from the remote domain is needed.
