Very subtle, eh Rich? :)

I still have rsh enabled (but blocked at the border) only because
remote dumps need it, as well as, it would seem distributed builds
with dmake.

Dunno about dmake, but remote dumps can use an ssh tunnel.

Is it bad when I see that and my first thought is, "Jesus, I really do
use 'eh' that much"?

I remember telling my coworkers that about 5 or 7 years ago.

"just change all that rsh stuff to ssh and configure each end
for host based authentication, and it'll work just like before,
plus it'll be encrypted while on the network..."

They did it and the encryption overhead made the backups take so long
they never got done!

So this is just a funny anecdote, I'm not arguing in favor of rsh <g>...

For an honourary Vancouverite, no.
