I get the prompt _every_ time I plug in the USB hub to which the serial adapter is attached. On two MB Pro's, a 15" and a 17", both running Snow Leopard. Rant redux: if I wanted an OS whose creators thought I was an idiot who needed an overly "helpful" OS I would use Windows!
