Drive1 was also listed as a drive that I could install to. But that's the data drive. I'm going to also disconnect the tape drive. Thanks. From: Pedro M. Leite on 6 Apr 2010 05:19 Good Mornig. Sorry for intruding in the post, but, got a question Our sbs 2k3 is also running as system drive e: and data drive c: Because ( i think ) system drive broke, plugged a new one ( unformatted ) and re-installed. the installer pegged c: to the data drive because was the only recognised as usable drive at install time. anyway, the rest is history. my question is, is there a probelm ?? i mean, it's running like that a year or so and no visible issues. can anyone elaborate on whatever issues may arise ?? thank you in advance Pedro Leite ---------------------------------------------------------------- Em 04/03/2010 01:46 PM, JohnB escreveu: > I had to re-install Server 2003 yesterday because of a bad drive. From: JohnB on 6 Apr 2010 18:36 When I returned the customer had found their Dell CD for re-installing Windows. So I re-installed Windows, starting with the Dell CD, and everything worked fine. Before I started I disabled Drive1 in the BIOS. So unfortunately, I'll never know which of those 2 things prevented it from making the system drive the C: drive. But all is well once again. Thanks.
