But if they knew what they were doing they could turn that one off the first time they saw it and just take advantage of the useful ones? I have just acquired a Tosh A300 and stuck XP, Vista and Ubuntu 10.04 on it. The most frustrating bit was *not knowing* if the USB stuff (like a Freecom DTB tuner) had been detected by Ubuntu [1]. It's ok when stuff 'just works' but it's a pain when it doesn't (or you are experimenting) and have no instant idea what's going on. Probably why the OP asked the question ... Cheers, T i m [1] It was the only OS to find *all* the std hardware and whilst it also found the Freecom tuner and installed the drivers for it I still can't get it working (it seems to scan and find channels but just won't display them, coming up with an error message about summat missing). Nor could I see any USB devices on XP when running it via Virtualbox. Tuner works fine under XP/Vista though? p.s. Did you get round to firing up the Nokia?

If it has the same problem in a non-Apple computer, it's definitely the mouse that's at fault. Otherwise it might be some obscure bug in Apple's mouse drivers, for example. -- Richard
