From: slick on 4 Jan 2010 09:41 A user is unable to view images embedded in the body of emails. A red "x" appears instead of the image however when she emails that image to myself and other users, the image is there. The image is a .bmp and I have checked the security settings on the Outlook client and even uninstalled Outlook 2003 and reinstalled.

From: Barry Watzman on 4 Jan 2010 10:35 I had the same problem and could not find the solution. A reinstall did fix it for me [a reinstall of WINDOWS, that is]. I also did not have the security settings set to hide graphics. Interestingly (and you should try this), if I looked at the E-Mail in "sent mail", the red X was present (mind you, this was in an E-Mail that I myself composed and sent, and it was a JPEG). If I then FORWARDED the E-Mail, the image appeared when I was forwarding it. Once it was forwarded, if I then looked at either message in my sent mail folder ... I was back to the red X. Unfortunately, I never found the problem. But reinstalling WINDOWS did fix it. Not a good or easy solution, however. slick wrote: > A user is unable to view images embedded in the body of emails.
