I suppose I ought to go away and look up the specs, so that I know what
my minimum criteria is before I hit the site. I'd hate to panic buy the
wrong spec. With demand like that I don't think it's going to pan out if
I see one there and then start pondering what my minimum spec
requirement is!

Dunno about race you to a mini, race you to two!

Nay, all Mac Pros are Xeon. 5500 series in the current incarnation.
