A good repair shop will remove the surround and the spider (probably with acetone) and they can re-attach the winding or rewind if necessary. Where I am in the most remote capital in the world we have a repair shop who could do it http://www.shortfuse.net.au/ He is frequently asked to perform this type of repair on Altec, Goodmans, Wharfedale etc.
