From: cchcc on 8 Oct 2009 16:21 mxtoolbox returns this error; Warning -Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner. Domain: coordinatingcenter.org, Environment: Winsrvr 2003 Ent R2/Exchange 2003. Any help is much appreciated.

This isn't a necessity unless you encounter some zealot admin with a SMTP server. If you want to fix this, make sure the data in the HELO\EHLO commnad matches the name on the PTR record for the IP address that the receiving server sees when you send email. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Thanks Rich, much appreciated. The Exchange local banner did not matter since it was the firebox SMTP banner that needed editing. All is well.
