I'd like you ( Nightcrawler ) to:
A. paraphrase and/or selectively quote.
B. indent/label your quotes, so we know it's a quote.
―― or ――
C. not quote at all, like Bert.
―― or ――
D. top·post ( which you do, at times ).

You rejected Windows Live Mail because it's “bloat·ware”.

Neither Mozilla ( ThunderBird ) nor MicroSoft ( Windows Live Mail )
would let me add all the features I require;
even if they did, it'd add dreaded “bloat”.

Instead, I wrote my own newsreader ( X.EXE/X.TXT, Visual C++ ),
giving me EXACTLY what I want, no more no less.
( for the details, see my website “ www.JeffRelf.F-M.FM ” )

That's the ideal solution, if you can handle it, “Roll Your Own”.

P.S.:
Glorb ( www.Glorb.COM/usenet.php ) is better than GigaNews.
Glorb's un·filtered server ( newsRead.Glorb.COM:80 ) is best, I say.
( The “:80” means “port 80” but you can use port 119 )
