2 ways to import count data but get different results from
Vivian, You didn't show your code, thus the best I can do is an educated guess. If I understand, correctly, you are analyzing rate/frequency data, aggregated at two different levels. My guess is that you didn't weight the analyses, by FTE, in one or both analyses. I would presume that, if you did, you would... 28 Dec 2009 21:47

2 ways to import count data but get different results from Poisson Regression

Unneecessary quotes in proc format (was: Can't format names be up
Art: You're second question was: why does a character format work even when the values-to-be-formatted (e.g. left side of the equals sign) are not quoted? Answer: Because SAS never said otherwise (or at least doesn't say otherwise now). In fact, if you go to the proc format documentation (the "Value Statemen... 28 Dec 2009 12:57

Negative binomial linear regression model
irin, below are my answers to your questions -Am I right trying to use this model to answer the question above? first of all, you need to test if it is necessary to do NB model instead a simple Poisson Model. Auxiliary OLS regression (Cameron, 1996) is a good tool to check such necessity. Secondly, if there is ove... 27 Dec 2009 22:50
Discriminant Analysis in SAS XXXX
Hello, I am attempting to reproduce results in SAS that Huberty & Olejnik (2006) discuss in section 8.5 (p. 143, for example) where these authors perform a descriptive discriminant analysis (what SAS calls a canonical discriminant analysis) in SPSS. I am using PROC DISCRIM with the CANONICAL option, however: ... 27 Dec 2009 20:41
