From: FSN Tech on 5 Nov 2009 11:07 I have a client when he uses the eject usb hard drive and removes the external usb hard drive, the SBS server crashes. I would like a resolution to be able to swap the external usb hard drives since he is using Backup Exec to save his backups to the external usb hard drive. The external usb hard drive has not been swapped out for at least 2 weeks because of the crashing of the SBS server.
From: Cris Hanna [SBS - MVP] on 5 Nov 2009 11:49 Did they just recently start using backup exec for backups? Or just recently start using USB drives? -- Cris Hanna [SBS - MVP] (since 1997) Co-Contributor, Windows Small Business Server 2008 Unleashed http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Small-Business-Server-Unleashed/dp/0672329573/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217269967&sr=8-1 Owner, CPU Services, Belleville, IL A Microsoft Registered Partner ------------------------------------ MVPs do not work for Microsoft Please do not submit questions directly to me. And "crash" can mean a lot of different things. If it's a hard, instant reset, then it's most likely a hardware issue. If it's a BSOD, then it could be a driver issue, or some other problem, and we'd want to know what the error code is, and what's in the event log. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/russel "Cris Hanna [SBS - MVP]" <crisnospamhanna(a)cpunospamservices.net> wrote in message news:%23%239H9fjXKHA.3720(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl...
