Dell server with a Dell SAS 6/iR controller and two SATA 7200 drives. Parent
OS on one drive, children on the other. Wasn't using RAID. This server is
just used for testing.

It would be interesting to see how it would have performed in a RAID-1
setup.

I am running it on a Dell R710 server, dual Xeon E5630 2.5GHz, 8GB mem (more
memory on the way), 4x500GB SAS 7200K drives in raid5. Hyper-V R2 loaded
with no other virtual machines running. I do not think I have it on a
dynamic VHD; unsure how to check. 6MB mem, 3 virtual processors. This is my
first virtual machine. Has taken a while to get this far, with firmware
updates and patches for new processors. Been an interesting experience.

You need to look at the sbssetup.log and exchangesetup.log files to
understand why Exchange did not install. As a result of Exchange not
installing, many other dependent things were not installed or skipped
altogether.

You should consider restoring the source server from backup, remedying the
issue that caused Exchange not to install and do the migration over again.
I do not recommend trying to go forward with this install, you will spend
more time on that than doing it over.
