From: Terence Liu [MSFT] on 26 Nov 2007 05:04 Hello Customer, Thank you for update. Based on my research on your errors, I suggest we try the following steps: Step1: Configure the asp.net folder NTFS permission: 1. Please open C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET on SBS 2. Right click Framework folder select properties 3. Select Security tab, add Network Service in the list, and give it Full Control permissions 4. Click OK to finish. Step 2: If the issue persists, please perform the steps: 1. Stop the ASP.NET state server service. 2. Click Start, click Run, type Regedt32.exe , and then click OK to start Registry Editor. 3. Locate the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\aspnet_state\Parameters 4. Add a DWORD value that is named SocketTimeout . Set a positive integer to represent the new TCP/IP timeout in seconds. Please input "10" 5. Quit Registry Editor. 6. Restart the ASP.NET state server service If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please help me collect some information for further investigation: 1. Does this issue happen when you try to access Backup node in Server Management console? 2. Gather MPS network report on SBS: a. Download MPSrepot_network from http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9 15706/MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE b. Run MPSRPT_NETWORK.exe on the server box. c. The tool will automatically collect the information. This procedure will take 10~15 minutes. d. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder: %SystemRoot%\MPSReports\Network\Reports\Cab\ e. Send the .cab file directly to me at v-terliu(a)microsoft.com 3. Gather IIS log: a. Open IIS snap-in. b. Right click Default Web Site and click Properties. c. Uncheck the "Enable Logging" box and click Apply. d. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1 folder and move all files to a backup location. e. Check "Enable Logging" box and click OK. f. Run IISReset command. g. Reproduce the problem and send the log file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1 folder to me for research. 4. Gather IIS Metabase: 1) Download the IIS Resource Kit tools from the following page: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=56FC92EE-A71A-4C73- B628-ADE629C89499&displaylang=en 2) Install it, run MBExplorer (Metabase Explorer) 3) Right click the "LM" node and choose "Export to file". 4) Specify a file name, specify the password and finish the export. 5) Send the file and the password to v-terliu(a)microsoft.com I hope these steps will give you some help. Thanks and have a nice day! From: Terence Liu [MSFT] on 2 Dec 2007 21:49 Hello Customer, Thank you for update. I'm glad that you resolved the event error "The remote host closed the connection. The error code is 0x80072746". However, from the new event error 1009, we know the SBS system is non-English version. As you know, we do not support non-English post or non-English products in our SBS public Newsgroup, and I'm unable to analyze non-English logs for you. I suggest you to find your local support for further investigation.
