From: Marc on 31 May 2010 10:23 Hello, i have a SBS2003 sp2 and here i want to use OMA to sync with windows mobile phone's over https. If I type in explorer htp://server/oma on the server I get the login screen, when I login I see the folders of exchange. When I type https://server/oma I get a error: webpage cannot be found. It looks that the website is not running in HTTPS mode. what can be wrong? and how to resolve this? Or is there more info needed? regards Marc
From: Russ SBITS.Biz [SBS-MVP] on 31 May 2010 16:33 Do you have a Self Signed Certificate? if yes re Run the CEICW and create a new cert. Warning all devices will need to re install the cert. (or Manually re install the Cert to the OMA in IIS) If you have a Third party Cert you can install the Cert on that web in IIS. From: Cris Hanna [SBS - MVP] on 31 May 2010 22:04 Susan Bradley has a link on her blog to setting up SBS 2003 and Windows Mobile 6. However it links to technet blogs and they appear to be done at present http://msmvps.com/blogs/bradley/archive/2008/01/30/new-guide-for-windows-mobile-6-and-sbs-2003.aspx?wwparam=1275354784 -- Cris Hanna [SBS - MVP] (since 1997) Co-Contributor, Windows Small Business Server 2008 Unleashed http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Small-Business-Server-Unleashed/dp/0672329573/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217269967&sr=8-1 Owner, CPU Services, Belleville, IL A Microsoft Registered Partner ------------------------------------ MVPs do not work for Microsoft Please do not submit questions directly to me. From: Duncan McC on 31 May 2010 22:19 Two things come to mind... 1. OMA won't sync email - that's Windows Mobile - quite a different beast. OMA will just give you (a very simple) view of your email on the server. 2. when you say http://server - "server" should be an public name that resolves to your server's IP. -- Duncan. From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 1 Jun 2010 02:35 Hello Marc, Thanks for your post and others' suggestions. In addition, have you ever tried set the Exchange-oma directory to default settings which NOT use SSL? If you don't use it, you don't need "https" but should be "http://server.mydomain.com/oma". So please use <http://server.mydomain.com/oma> to access the OMA. Also, please check and make sure your mobile device is NOT set to use SSL as well. Please refer to the below article for related information: Deploying Windows Mobile 6 with Windows Small Business Server 2003 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc747419(WS.10).aspx Windows Small Business Server 2003: Mobile Access - Frequently Asked Questions http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/sbs/evaluation/faq/mobileaccess.mspx Overview of mobile devices that are supported by Outlook Mobile Access in Exchange Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821835/en-us Default settings of Default Website, Virtual Directories under Default Website and Companyweb on a SBS 2003 Server http://blogs.technet.com/asksbs/archive/2008/08/12/default-settings-of-default-website-virtual-directories-under-default-website-and-companyweb-on-a-sbs-2003-server.aspx Hope this helps.
